Machine Man got a new home today. He now stands by the river in Thompson Park (Amarillo Texas). His arm fell off when I was installing him with my sledge hammer. I don’t think my welding skills were to blame – the problem is that his arms were made in China (particle metal). Machine Man taught me a lot of lessons about sculpture in metal. Thanks Machine Man.

Here are some shots of Tex Randall. He greets travelers coming into Canyon from Hereford on Hwy 60 and was built in 1959. There is some interesting history about Tex – can anyone tell me what happened to the cigarette he used to hold?
